HIDDEN HISTORY: Rediscovering our lost suffragettes.

Jennie Kiff is a professional archivist and heritage consultant based in Bradford. Her PhD research has rediscovered hundreds of women who are missing from the histories of the suffragette movement. A BRIEF HISTORY OF PUNISHMENT AND PUBLIC HUMILIATION by Roger Logue.

Roger is a member of, and indeed Chairman in various History Societies.

His talk looks at the infinite reasons behind, and history of, the various forms of punishment and public humiliation. It explains and gives examples from various parts of the world and discusses the mildest to the most severe forms of punishment.  The catalyst for researching the subject was the daily sight of the village stocks opposite his home in Marsden.
