On Saturday 31st August Calder Quilters went on their Annual Trip. This year The Great Northern Quilt Show was held at Doncaster Racecourse. After a straightforward journey the members alighted the coach to a day of viewing quilts, browsing useful sewing items, purchasing needed fabric ,reconsidering the next Project and coffee…with the odd cake.
The added bonus this year was hunting down and finding the seven quilts exhibited by our own members. They included titles such as “ Love is a Work of Heart “ and “Pennies from Heaven”.
An enjoyable day all round….we will be planning next year’s trip ….for our members and their friends .
